To my son Isaiah. I am truly blessed to have such a great first born. You
light up my life every single day. To see the love you have inside makes me happy. You always seem to know when
I need a hug and kiss and I am glad that you always share them with me. You also share them with your brother and it
is great to see the two of you together. I love you.
To my son Isaac. I thank God every single day for bringing you into my life. You show
me every day how strong you are. Even through everything you go through you always come out smiling and it makes me
know that everything will be okay. You make me happy every time I see your face. I love you.
For both of my sons, There have been many days when I have wanted to stay in bed and pull the covers
over my head and forget everything. But every morning I wake up and know that I get to spend my day with two of
the best sons any mom could ask for. I thank you both for keeping me smiling and keeping me going.
To my Mother. I will never be able to thank you for everything you have done for us.
You have always been there when we needed you. You took such good care of Isaiah so we could be with Isaac when he needed
us. I have always had a special place in my heart for you but I know that it will never be enough to show you how much
you mean to me. I love you and thank you.
To our families. Your support has been a God send. You have been there for us
through it all. You were there to wipe our tears, to cry some with us and to hold us up when we could barely stand.
We thank you for everything.
To the Guzman Women. Thank you for the meals you have cooked for us. Thank you for
participating in and donating money to the bowl-a-thon we had to raise money for the 2005 VACTERL Family Conference.

Dr. Vernon Naake - My OB. Thank you so much for your support during both of my pregnancies
but especially the 2nd one. I thank you for getting me transferred to Presbyterian/St. Luke's (P/SL) so that
I could be with my son day and night.
Dr. Mark Brown - Pedatrician in the NICU at P/SL. We thank you for taking care
of our son and getting all of his testing and specialists in order while he was in the NICU. You were a great help to
us since we had never heard of VACTERL. You explained his test results in a way that we could understand.
Dr. Steven Rothenberg - GI specialist/Pediatric Surgeon. I thank you from the bottom
of my heart. You are the one that repaired my son's imperforated anus, did the colostomy, did the take down, and repaired
his hernias. How can we ever thank you, you repaired most of my son's major problems and we thank our lucking stars
that our son fell into such gifted hands. THANK YOU.
Dr. Bruce Blythe - Pediatric Urologist. Thank you for all the care you have given to
our son. With my son's crossed fused kidneys I know we will see quite a bit of each other over the next few years.
Your soothing voice has given us much comfort. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Dr. Roderick Lamond - Neurological Surgeon. Thank you for watching after our son's spinal
cord issues. Anytime we have come to your office you have been great to calm our nerves.
Dr. Warren Toews - Heart Specialist. Thank you for keeping an eye or our son's heart
issues. Thankfully his issues are not big but it is nice to know that you are watching out for him.
Dr. Anant Kumar - Spine Specialist. Thank you for all of your help with our son's spine
issues. You always keep our minds at ease by letting us know that our son is doing good.
Dr. Alan Klein - Pediatric Anesthesiologist. Thank you for always being available when
our son has any procedure that requires anesthsia. With the problems that he has had it is nice to have someone that
knows what needs to be done to make our son comfortable.
To all of the wonderful nurses in the P/SL NICU, Graduate Nursery and Pediatric Ward.
You are all wonderful people and we thank you so much for taking care of our little boy.
We are so thankful that our son has been helped by such wonderful people. He was truly
blessed to have been taken to such a great place.
To my Stay-at-Home Moms club. I thank you for all the meals that were prepared
for my family while our son was in the hospital. It was very helpful to have one less thing to worry about every night.
To my son's playgroup. You are all great women. You have shown me and my family
such support through all of this. You made my family meals while he was in the hospital and every other time he had
to go back in for surgery. My family and I have been blessed with such great friends and I will always have a place
in my heart for each and every one of you. I will forever be indebted to each of you. THANK YOU.
